Follow Your Joy

Woman following her joy and intuition while embracing a more joyful, authentic life.

Follow your joy

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO FOLLOW YOUR JOY?

I’ve learned that finding more joy isn’t about changing your entire life overnight. It’s built in small moments—your morning coffee, walks outside, the trip you finally book, the conversation that lights you up, the music that moves your soul, the place that makes you feel alive. Those tiny choices create a life that feels more like yours.

Joy isn’t about waiting for life to be perfect or for everything to fall into place.

It’s paying attention to the moments that make you smile. The moments that make you feel lighter, calmer, more alive. More you.

Those moments matter.

They’re clues.

MAKE A JOY LIST

Try this.

Write down all the things that bring you joy. Things that make you breathe easier, feel lighter, feel the most you. The little things. The big things. The seemingly ordinary moments that make you smile.

Then…

Do more of those things.

SAY NO MORE OFTEN

Joy isn’t necessarily about adding more. It’s intentionally shifting your focus and your energy toward what lights you up. The people, the places, the experiences, the habits, the beliefs, and the thoughts that nourish you, stretch you, and support you.

And sometimes, it’s about removing things that don’t.

Saying no to:

  • People who drain your energy
  • Invitations and requests you don’t have capacity for. No explanation required.
  • “Shoulds”. Your own, someone else’s, or society’s.
  • Tolerating what you’ve already outgrown.
  • Anything that pulls you further away from the life you want and who you want to be.

YOUR JOY IS WORTH FOLLOWING

You have one shot at life.

How will you choose to live it?

Follow your heart.
Trust the spark within that’s pulling you somewhere.
Be curious.
Be grateful.
Have fun with it!

We’re not here to suffer, to just go through the motions, or to simply survive.

We’re here to live.

Follow your joy.
